Today’s recommendation is chapter 14 of one of my previous recommendations, Marry X Princess! In this chapter, Shinsuke finally confronts Mizuki and learns of what’s been troubling her, and Cynthia seemingly makes good on her last words to him from their meeting at Crystal Park…
Wow…this one is just so real, deep, and so, so touching. This chapter demonstrates just how strong and precious the bond between these two is, it made me fall in love with Shinsuke and Mizuki’s characters even more. I adored this chapter so much. As I said in my post about the previous chapter, how human and relatable these characters are is truly one of my favorite aspects of this story (among many). Between this chapter and the last one, the character depth lately has been giving me pause with every read and I love that. This is definitely one of my greatest reads. I’m especially looking forward to the next chapter after this one. Wow, just wow…such a powerful chapter❤️

Today’s recommendation is chapter 13 of one of my previous recommendations, Marry X Princess! In this chapter, Sensei Dioli assesses what’s been troubling Shinsuke during his training sessions and treats him to a special lesson that’s different from what he’s come to expect from her.
Honestly, this was my favorite chapter so far. Evangeline is such a wonderful character, I took to her the moment she was introduced. We’re beginning to peel back the layers on each of these characters, which we’re learning is many and I love that, but what intrigues me about Eva is how her layers impact the characters around her. In this chapter, we got to see some sides of Shinsuke we hadn’t seen before through her and watched their bond strengthen as a result of that when we have yet to see him warm up to any of the characters as quickly as he has with her outside of Mizuki who is, of course, self-explanatory. She’s also the first and only character so far to break his composure on two occasions now. This chapter proved how much a wonderfully-written, powerful, and vital character she is to this story and I’m really looking forward to learning more about her and seeing what other faces are presented to us from the other characters through her.
